Ferrari is celebrating the 2018 edition of the Le Mans 24 hours with a special specification 488 Pista, which will be available exclusively for clients and privateers involved in Ferrari’s motor sports programmes.
Called Piloti Ferrari, the new specification introduces a racing car inspired livery, while there are minor trim changes in the cabin too.

It’s the work of Ferrari’s tailor Made division and is inspired by AF Corse’s #51 488 GTE, racing at La Sarthe this weekend. In last year’s world Endurance Championship, the #51 won the championship for GT drivers too.

The livery resembles the Italian flag, with a broad white stripe running the length of the car, flanked by smaller green and red stripes. A laurel marking last season’s WEC title sits on the bonnet, while elsewhere a lot more Italian flag motifs line the bottom edges of the 488 Pista Piloti Ferrari, and it brings the number 51 as well.
Final exterior revisions include a matte black S-Duct, while the spoiler and vent surrounds are naked carbon fibre. four main exterior paint colours are available, with Blu excursion De France, Nero Daytona (black) and Argento Nurburgring (silver) lining up together with standard Rosso Corsa.
Inside, the perforated Alcantara seats gain Italian flag graphics, while the same red white and green colours are applied to the paddle shifters behind the steering wheel, plus the floor mats. Each car gets a special identification plate too.
The Piloti Ferrari gains no additional power – the 3.9-litre V8 behind the motorist stays as is, with 710bhp on tap.
